Soup's blogSoup's Blog - ACTUAL Update this timeHello all, Last night we FINALLY got off our sedementary arses and got some filming done! Although most of us got to the set on time, we ended up shooting what we had hoped to have done. Of course we wrapped that day at 2AM and some of us had to wake up at 7 to go to work... Anyway, the point is that we held tight and are now very tired folk... at least I am and I'm sure Jason is (he could've collapsed on set if we kept going). Our next date to shoot is next week and I'm really excited to see what we come up with next. Everytime we shoot this cast and crew continue to amaze me with their constant inappropriate comments, booze drinking, cancerstick sucker- I mean... They amaze me with their t-talent.. and... what else is a nice thing to say? Hell if I know! Ah damnit, I wish the backspace button on this keyboard was working... Oh well. What are they gonna do? Fire me?! HAHAHA! Not bloody lik- UPDATE!So... yeah.. an update... Uh... Yeah... No, seriously though. Sorry there haven't been many updates lately, mainly because we all went out and found ourselves lives. DAMN YOU LIFE! But, on the good news, is that we are filming again and things are finally getting re-organised for the new year. Soon we'll have all our sets built and all of Episode 1 filmed! WOO! Hopefully our editors and CGI guys haven't buggered out without telling anyone. I'm excited for what we have planned for all you folks, and I hope you like the results. I'll try to pump out more of these blogs as much as possible, just so everyone knows we haven't run off and died in some ditch. Merry New Year from The Into The Black cast and crew!!!!Hello all! I would like to wish EVERYONE a big damn shiny (and merry) NEW YEAR! I hope everyone will have a great 2007! Now that it's January we can actually get the ball rolling again with finishing our first episode. If time and luck is on our side (they like to bugger off on us though, so I don't even think they'll be getting Xmas cards this year) we can make one or two more for your viewing pleasure. Cheers and best wishes to all! -Eric Soup's Blog - We're in the News!Hey all, Just to let ya'll know that we are officially in public media! That's right, today Into The Black has been featured in a local newspaper, the Vancouver Courier. We got the cover page and a 2 page article. I look especially goofy, but that may be because I'm just plain ugly. For those of you who aren't local and can't get a copy... sucks to be you! Hahhaha! Actually, here's a link to the paper http://www.vancourier.com/ It should be on the front page, if that doesn't work then try the direct link, although you miss out on the awesome cover shot of Jason and Miranda http://www.vancourier.com/issues06/103206/news/103206nn1.html. Soup's Blog - Another Happy B-day to one of our own!Not much going on this week unfortunately. Apparently people have "lives" outside of ITB that have the bad habit of interfering. Grrr... Stupid working for money. I demand communism! Anyway... I totally forgot to announce the b-day of one of our own. Someone who has worked very hard behind the scenes and we appreciate and love her for it. Let's give a big belated Happy B-Day to Lana! Happy birthday Lana, may you have many tens of thousands more. Sorry I couldn't attend your b-day party as I was at work struggling with a junky. Cheers to your health! -Eric Soup's Blog - VCON!Hey folks, me again! As most of you should know, if you've been keeping up with the latest news, yesterday was the 31st Vancouver Sci-Fi/Fantasy Convention; also known as V-Con 31. For a quick recap of what this means to Into The Black, 7 of us were invited to do a 1 hour panel. The seven included me, Damien (the 2/3 creators), Troy (Cap'n), Aaron (Call), Miranda (Sera), Jason (Sammy) and Katie (The Boss & make-up artist). The general events happened as such: We strolled into a decent sized conference room at 3pm and sat along the panel table. A projector and screen were already set up for videos so Damien got right to it and tried to get the damn thing running. Unfortunately, today was a lucky day for Damien (he had problems with the videos earlier and then his car died) so to make things even luckier he couldn't get the damn thing to work properly! So to stall for time I went ahead and started things up by introduce myself and Into The Black. After my self-indulgent speech I handed things off to the cast and they, as expected, introduced themselves. Then we just started talking about whatever until tech support could get the thing working. It was pretty informal, but fun nevertheless. Soup's Blog - Next Stop! FANDOM!Hey all, Here again with another weekly update. Next week we're off to V-Con. For those of you who can't go back a couple blogs, V-Con is a local nerd con. It looks like it'll be a lot of sci-fi/fantasy book stuff along with TV stuff. The creators of The Collector are going to be there AND there's a Joss Whedon panel called "Wonder Women: Worlds of Joss Whedon". Check out www.vcon.ca for more info. Our panel is going to be one hour on Sunday at 3pm in the Westminster North room. We'll be bringing out the creators/writers and cast members too! So if you ever wanted to meet/stalk a cast member now's the time to see them in the flesh. We will also have some souvenirs for folks attending (business and post cards mostly) and a nice little surprise for those who attend. You'll have to wait to see what they are after the con. Happy Birthday Miranda!Hey everyone, I wanna be the first (on this website) to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIRANDA! That's right, our very own Sera is one year closer to death. Joy! May you live for tens of thousands of years Miranda. -Eric Soup's Blog - Inching forward.Me again! We had another successful weekend of filming and by the looks of things we're almost there! We have most of our big scenes done with only a few more to go. We're almost past the finish line folks and victory may or may not taste sweet... depending on how you folk stomach what we've created. In other news, we've been invited to do a one hour panel at V-Con on Into the Black! For those of you who don't know what V-Con is, V-Con is the Vancouver Sci-Fi/Fantasty/Gaming convention located. V-Con starts on October 6th and ends on the 8th. Our panel will be on the 8th (Sunday) so be sure to choose our panel. Should prove to be and interesting ego rub. Soup's Blog - Another day of fandom!I don't know where I got that title from, but I really don't care. Anyway, last weekend (September 10th) we were out an about shooting more stuff for our first episode. That meant more time in the bush with all the bugs, spiders, birds and annoying planes and trains. Everytime we wanted silence a plane would fly by or a train would honk it's damn horn. SILENCE I SAY! Anyway, overall a good day of shooting we got more pages down and are ever closer to getting this thing in the can. I would like to personally thank Derek "Zeek" and Brad for helping use their locations. I don't know where we'd be if we didn't have you guys... We'd probably be somewhere else... yeah... Enough talk from me, your turn audience! |
