3D graphics artist, compositor, (tetracanth)
Matt says:
I'm Vancouver born and raised, and a longtime fan of science fiction. Particularly the whole spaceships, technology and vehicles side of things. In grade 7 I discovered that 3D graphics were a more suitable medium for making spaceships than lego and sheet styrene. Since then it's been a hobby and occasionally a source of employment.
I admit, the first time I saw a firefly episode I wasn't incredibly enthused. That's what happens when you come in 2/3rds of the way through Ariel and are playing Halo at the time. However, a pair of dedicated fans taught me the error in my ways, and I was recruited for this film at a Browncoat event in the summer of 2005. This is by far the largest graphics project I've ever attempted, and I hope it turns out well.
In real life I'm a computer science student studying robotics and computer vision systems.
