Just posting this announcement as a reminder!
"As most of you are aware, there has been a movement to have charity screenings of "Serenity" in the 35 cities which had preview screenings on June 23rd last year. So far, there are 34+ cities in 5 countries on 3 continents in the planning or preplanning phase, although not all had screenings last year.
We in Vancouver were lucky enough to be one of the two Canadian cities involved and I know a good portion of the group who attended remembers that day: the excitement, the birthday banner for Joss, the anticipation of seeing the BDM for the first time (or second, for some of us), the connection with 200 other Browncoats and the feelings evoked by the movie.
Now we can recapture some of that feeling and at the same time raise money for Joss's favourite charity, "Equality Now", an organization which works to improve conditions for women and children worldwide.
Join us to celebrate Joss's birthday (actually on the 23rd) and the movie he had to make."
When: June 24th, 2:15 (doors at 1:45)
