Into the Black - Call's Earth That Was Speech

(If the media does not display clearly, use the link below to download the original file.)

An audition song I recorded for ITB - can be heard during Call's "Earth-That-Was" speech, as well as in the V-Con Trailer.

Music

That's kinda haunting :)

love this

Oh, I LOVE this one. It is sad *sniff* like a burial and, as JonLee already said, a little bit haunting at the same time. Love it. Really love it.

haunting and beautiful.

haunting and beautiful. Reminds me a bit of "The Funeral" from The Message.

This is really good

I haven't gotten a good taste for the music in the things I've heard before (trailer, speeches)...but now that I can hear it as a standalone piece, it really is very excellent, kudos Andrew and Friends

This is especially good

You hear these things and think "where did they find this...oh, they made this."

this is really good

I love it....this is one of the best pieces I have heard in a while, specially like the sneeze at the end, how does one notate that into a score

The Sneeze

lol - I never noticed that before...it sounds like Miranda.

>:/ .... Why must you make

>:/ .... Why must you make fun of my sneezes *shakes fist*

Ol' Sneezy Miranda

I don't make fun....it just sounds like you is all :)

Astounding

Have to admit, when I first heard of this Into the Black thingy, I was rather skeptical, and figured they'll never make anything firefly-y that I'll possibly be remotely interested in. But now I'm looking at some fair compelling evidence says they do. :)

I can't believe how good this stuff is!

I'm a big fan of the

I'm a big fan of the soundtrack from the show and the BDM... and this is wonderful. I agree, it does has a mourning quality to it; that seems just perfect to me. I am really looking forward to the final post-production version of this show coming out... I'd really like to see how the audio tracks are handled. The only observation that comes to mind for me is editing the audio or something like using more directional mics to reduce the light echo that occurs during dialog... but I'm rambling. Keep up the great work!
