Come listen to our Signal Podcast!

About a month ago, Miranda, Eric and I did a podcast interview with The Signal, which is one of the leading voices in Firefly fandom. We were there to talk about Into the Black, and had a great time. We're really happy with the final product, and encourage everyone to give it a listen.

It's a 2 part interview, that starts at about the 11:30 mark, and goes for about 20-25 minutes, then there's a break, and picks up again around 40 minutes or so.

This is the main page for The Signal: http://signal.serenityfirefly.com/ and we're in #13.

Enjoy!

Nathan Fillion plugs ITB on Fangoria Radio

One of ITB's MySpace friends (Marie aka Smurf) pointed us in the direction of an interview that Nathan did recently for Fangoria Radio. At about the 6 minute mark, they start discussing Firefly fandom, and Nathan gives us a big plug.

You can listen to it here:

So big thanks to Nathan for the shout out, and to Marie for letting us know about it :)

We released a new trailer in time for it to debut at a Free Comic Book Day event, and here it is for your viewing pleasure:

Our production values are finally starting to come together now. This is the result of hard work, some magificent music from Rob Kuhlman, and one serious all-nighter on the part of yours truly.

Shiny, n'est-ce pas?

External Media Links

Into the Black has been releasing enough video and audio by now that not all of it fits on our local site! Below is a list of all the media we've made available elsewhere.

The Global article is available!

By dint of serious effort, the Global article is now available on YouTube - enjoy!

ITB Music

For those of you who aren't already friends of ITB's MySpace page, I just wanted to let you all know that we have a new song up on our page.

Rob Kuhlman, who is one of the talented folk providing original music for us, composed a song called Into the Black, which is super shiny. I think I speak for pretty much everyone here when I say that we really love this song.

So everyone should stop by our MySpace and give it a listen :)

NEW VIDEO: Into the Black Christmas Special

Well, this is our present to you this merry holiday season.

It's the Into the Black Christmas Special.
Using a quick script written by Damien, we met up and filmed this one evening for your viewing pleasure, working until 3 AM to get it done. Damien directed, MatthewC shot and edited, Sammy provided emotional support and Sera added a much needed feminine touch to the ship. The Captain, well, he was in his bunk. For such a short unplanned project, it turned out quite excellent.

Merry Christmas fans, enjoy.

Soup's Blog - We're in the News!

Hey all,

Just to let ya'll know that we are officially in public media! That's right, today Into The Black has been featured in a local newspaper, the Vancouver Courier. We got the cover page and a 2 page article. I look especially goofy, but that may be because I'm just plain ugly.

For those of you who aren't local and can't get a copy... sucks to be you! Hahhaha! Actually, here's a link to the paper http://www.vancourier.com/ It should be on the front page, if that doesn't work then try the direct link, although you miss out on the awesome cover shot of Jason and Miranda http://www.vancourier.com/issues06/103206/news/103206nn1.html.
